ConflictMeter Watch
What moved since the 2025 Vintage baseline?
Movement is now available for 80 of 81 current Global FULL countries and all 30 current Enhanced countries. These charts use the authorised 2025 Vintage baseline and current production values.
Important: rank movement and score movement are separate signals. A move toward rank 1 means a higher ConflictMeter position, not an improvement in country conditions.
Biggest Global rank movers
The five largest moves toward rank 1 and the five largest moves away from rank 1 between the 2025 Vintage baseline and the current ranking.
All 80 comparable Global countries preserve the change in ranking universe from 80 to 81. Zimbabwe is the only current Global FULL country without a 2025 baseline.
Largest Global score changes
Score movement answers a different question from rank movement: how much the ConflictMeter index itself changed, irrespective of how other countries moved.

Cases for closer review
Very large movements deserve interpretation, not automatic headlines. A change can reflect substantive current conditions, movement in the comparison universe, changing coverage or later source revision. The examples below are therefore treated as starting points for analysis.
Lithuania
Rank move: +55 toward rank 1
Score change: +36.14
Lithuania’s unusually large movement warrants a closer look at the component changes and source history before drawing a substantive conclusion.
El Salvador
Rank move: −48 away from rank 1
Score change: −27.59
El Salvador’s movement is similarly large and should be interpreted alongside component-level changes, coverage and source-revision evidence.
